Clark Forward
Clark founded Forward Financial in 2010 and leads every client relationship. He owns the planning and the investment approach, and he works from one premise: the tax consequence of a decision belongs in the decision, not in a return that reports it a year later. As a Certified Exit Planner, he does the heaviest version of that work when a business or a concentrated position is headed toward a sale, where the planning happens years ahead of the transaction or does not happen at all. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004, and he built the firm on this idea: the person handling a family’s most complicated decisions should still be there decades later, when those decisions pay off.Clark grew up in Archbold, Ohio, a town of 4,300, and wrestled four years at Michigan, where he was a letterwinner and an NCAA qualifier. He and his wife, Nevert Badreldin Forward, a maternal-fetal medicine physician, have two sons and a standard poodle named Leo. Outside of work, he is usually on the water, on a mountain, or with a book.
